Cheetahs can go from zero to 62 miles an hour in less than the time it takes for you to get out of bed and for a third of a mile, they can run at a speed of over 75 miles per hour. They are well-adapted to running with their claws that are are not fully retractable, gripping the ground, their large nostrils through which they can breathe in more air and lungs that are designed to use their oxygen supply more efficiently.
