Mercury is the only element that is liquid at room temperature and at room temperature, it has a density of 13.5 grams per cubic centimeter. The human body has a density of only 1 gram per cubic centimeter so you and anyone else would float on top of a pool of mercury. So would cannonballs and lead bullets, but not gold, which can be dissolved by mercury.
