In many parts of the world, you’ll get scolded for sleeping in your cubicle but not in Japan. In Japan, sleeping on the job is considered proof of your dedication to your job. The practice has become so desirable, in fact, that it has been given a name – inemuri – which literally means ‘sleeping while present’.
