Basilisk Lizard - Female
A basilisk or “Jesus Christ” lizard – it runs on water with its rear legs by Alan Huett cc2.0

Basilisks don’t just exist in Harry Potter books. They are lizards that exist in real life and they are amazing in their own right, especially since they can run across the water’s surface when chased by predators. Adults can run for nearly 15 feet below sinking while younger basilisks can run for 60 feet. In case they do sink, they can stay underwater for up to half an hour.
